The South Devon Coastal Local Action Group was set up to provide a way of bringing new money into the South Devon area. We aim to support a broad range of projects and activities across the geographical area of the South Devon Coastal area and across the themes of our Local Development Strategy.

The South Devon Coastal Local Action Group is open to a wide membership of organisations and supporters living and working in the area who would welcome your involvement. A smaller steering group drawn from this membership secured the funding award, and they make the local funding decisions, provide strategic direction and ensure the scheme keeps in track.

The South Devon Coastal Local Action Group wants to ensure that the local community plays a greater and more active role in developing the South Devon coastal area. This includes all sectors of society and is intended to contribute to both community and economic improvements in the area. Essential to this is an understanding of the natural and cultural heritage of the area, which is a key part of our overall plans.

The overall programme totals £1.8million over five years. We astarted by putting together a delivery plan for 2009, which we have now updated for 2010 to show how we plan to make things happen this year. South Devon Coastal LAG Delivery Plan 2010.

We are now up and running and can accept applications for projects. For full details on what we fund and how to apply, please read our guidance notes. South Devon Coastal LAG Guidance.

Greater Dartmoor Local Enterprise Action Fund (GD LEAF) is a new partnership.  It has been set up to invest in environmental and community based projects that encourage innovation and promote the prosperity of the Greater Dartmoot area.

We have been set up to deal with some of the main economic and social issues facing the communities in Greater Dartmoor.  We started by preparing a Local Development Strategy. This outlines our plans for the how funding could help make improvements in the area.  This was agreed by SWRDA who then allocated £1.8m to help deliver some of our aims and objectives.

Originally we put together our delivery plan for 2009 to show what we planned to do in our first year.  We have upddated this for 2010 to reflect what we have achieved so far and to show our plands for the next year if the fund, GD LEAF delivery plan 2010.

We are now up and running and can accept applications for projects. For full details on what we can fund and how to apply, please read our guidance note. GD LEAF Guidance.
